2010 European Winning Team,
Cologne University, Germany

Each year in May the European Centre for Space Law organises, together with the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), the European Round of the Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition.

Regional winners from Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe and North America compete in the World Finals, held in conjunction with the annual International Astronautical Congress.

After having hosted the event for many years in the premises of ESA Headquarters, ECSL decided to organise it each year in a University in Europe in order to promote this competition and spread the knowledge of space law all over Europe.

The European Round was successfully organised in:

  • Riga, Latvia (2008)
  • Athens, Greece (2009)
  • Györ, Hungary (2010)
  • St Petersburg, Russian Federation (2011)
  • Bucharest, Romania (2012)
  • Rome, Italy (2013)
  • Wroclaw, Poland (2014)

The registration form for the European Regional Round can be downloaded here and the Funding Form is here.

See below information on the calendar for this year's competition.
