The IISL Board during its spring meetings of 2019 had approved following award recommendations by the IISL Awards committee as contained in its 17th report to the Board. The awards will be given away during the IISL Dinner on 24th October, 2019. The citations of awardees was read during the Award ceremony.
The IISL Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded to Prof. Christian Brünner.
The IISL Distinguished Service Award was awarded to Mr Victor Veshchunov.
The IISL Young Achiever Award was awarded to Dr P J Blount, Dr Fabio Tronchetti, and Dr Olga Volynskaya.
The Committee greatly appreciates services of Dr Leslie Tennen for his help with the logistics of the Awards. The Committee is grateful to all the nominators as well as the references and to the President and the other Board of Directors for the support received from them for the Committee’s work.
