In the course of the 66th International Astronautical Congress in Jerusalem the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) offered the following awards:

The Lifetime Achievement Award to Ms. Marcia S. Smith, United States.

The Distinguished Service Award to Prof. Dr Sergio Marchisio, Italy.

Awards of Appreciation to Dr. M. Stanford, United Kingdom, and Dr. B. Schmidt-Tedd, Germany.

The Certificate of Gratitude to JAXA, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency.

The Prof. Dr. I.H.Ph. Diederiks-Verschoor Award for the best paper accepted for presentation at the Institute's Colloquium by an author not older than 30 years and who has not published more than five papers in the Proceedings of the IISL Colloquia to Mr Dimitri Linden (University of Leuven), for his paper "The Impact of National Space Legislation on Private Space Undertakings: A Regulatory Competition between States?".

All awards were presented during the annual IISL dinner, on Thursday 15 October 2015, in Jerusalem.
