IISL Board elections

The IISL annual General Assembly, that took place on 3 October 2012 in Naples, amended the IISL Statutes and By-Laws changing, inter alia, the process of election of the IISL Board members (Officers and other Board positions).

Pursuant to these amendments the Election Committee (formerly Nomination Committee), currently comprising Ms Elina Morozova (chair), Mr Christian Brünner and Ms Marcia Smith, is authorized to draw up the list of qualifying candidates, supervise the election process and count the votes.

A candidate for a position on the Board is to fill out a nomination form (available on the IISL website at http://www.iislweb.org/docs/2013_IISL_Nomination_Form.doc) and to submit it, along with any requested attachment, to the Election Committee.

A candidate shall be nominated by an IISL Member in good standing, shall be supported by five IISL Members in good standing, and shall confirm that they agree to be nominated. Voting shall take place from eight weeks until four weeks prior to the General Assembly. With the next General Assembly to be held in Beijing on 25 September 2013, the voting period in 2013 shall be from July 31 until August 28. During the 2013 Board election votes shall be cast by IISL Members in good standing electronically via http://www.iislweb.net/ website.

The 2013 nominees for the IISL Board membership are to send their nomination forms, providing all the requested information, along with a curriculum vitae, or a biography, or a statement of one page at most (in MS Word or PDF format) to the Election Committee at [email protected] not later than 3 July 2013, with subject line IISL Board Election. We kindly remind you that nominations received after that date cannot be considered.
