During the International Astronautical Congress in Prague, at the General Assembly of the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) on September 29 elections took place with respect to several positions on the Board of Directors of the IISL.

The results of the election were as follows:

• The President, Mrs. T.L. Masson-Zwaan (Netherlands), was reelected for a term of three years.
• The Executive Secretary, Mrs. C. Jorgenson-Contant (United States), was reelected for a term of three years.

The following five Directors were elected respectively reelected, all for terms of three years:

• Prof. S. Freeland (Australia)
• Prof. R. Jakhu (Canada)
• Prof. F. Lyall (United Kingdom)
• Prof. S. Marchisio (Italy)
• Prof. K.U. Schrogl (Germany)
